At Boston Magazine, a powerhouse regional publication, I honed my skills in two stints.

In 2016, I assisted Art Director Eric Mongeon. I mastered section typesetting, shipped artwork, and even created illustrations for charts and icons. Here, I even played a part in conceptualizing the theme for Best of Boston 2016 and used hand stamping to create feature opener image.

Two years later, when Eric transitioned out, he recommended me to help bridge the gap. Working under interim Art Director Hector Sanchez, I shouldered all my previous duties and more. With Hector remote, I pitched art direction and concepts, oversaw photoshoots, and collaborated on feature pitches. Budgeting, freelance artists, and admin tasks? I handled them too.
